Fishing card 2015 coming soon

The Fishing card for 2015 is expected to be ready at stores around 5-8 of December.
We have never had as many lakes included in the card as now. You can choose from 38 lakes around Iceland and fish as you please in 2015 depenting only on opening hours and regulations in the brochure.
The price is unchanced from last year, only ISK 6900..
New lakes:
We are pleased to announce that the lakes in Svínadal valley, Eyrarvatn, Geitabergsvatn an Þórisstaðavatn are back in the card. The lake Hopid will no longer be included in the card.
We have already started to sell the card here on the web and we will send all orders as soon as the brochure will be ready late next week.

Sauðlauksdalsvatn – nice trouts
It is quite nice surroundings in Saudlauksdal valley. Guillaume Fournié from France was there recently and he got 3 nice trouts in the lake Saudlauksdalsvatn.
Nice catch in Hitarvatn lake.
Lake Hitarvatn has given good fishes recently. It is a nice lake with very amazing surroundings and nice camping area not far from the lake.
Þveit – nice photos and blog link!
It looks like Þveit in the east of Iceland, is getting to life! Dagur Árni Guðmundsson is a regular guest there, and he sent us some photos and news.
Char fishing at Lake Þingvellir
Now the char is showing up in more volume every day. Eidur Valdemarsson went to lake Þingvellir this morgning and was very happy with the result since he got many nice chars.
Records gets broken almost every day!
It looks like the records of huge brown trouts gets broken almost every day!
Records getting broken at Þingvallavatn!
Last days have been amazing in lake Þingvallavatn. Many personal records have been broken and many 20+ pounders have been landed there. Hundreds of huge trouts have been catched and release there, but recently the landowners changed the rules there so you must release those giants… at least until 1st of June.
Þingvallavatn – heavy trouts!
It looks like the fishing in Lake Þingvallavatn has never started better. Fishermen has been catching many huge brown trouts. Here below are some pictures, only from the weekend of 24th to 27th of April!
Vifilsstadavatn up and running!
With higher temparature, the lake Vifilsstadavatn has finally woken. It opened on the first of April but was rather calm the first days. Fishermen has got nice catch there in the recent days. The char is nice and the lake is only few minutes away from Reykjavik.
