Veiðikortið 2021 – "The Fishing card" – is a very economic choice for fishermen and travelers. With Veiðikortið in your pocket you can fish almost as much as you like in 36 lakes around Iceland.
Some lakes are open all year around, but most of those open on May 1st and close on September 30th.
When you buy Veiðikortið you receive a brochure, unfortunately only available in Icelandic, with all information about the lakes, maps and information about how to get there. You can find english translation on the web, www.veidikortid.is, where you can print necessary information about each lake.  We will send you the card free of charge with standard air-mail.
 
Please note that deliverytime can take up to 1-3 weeks. (USA about 3-4 weeks)

Please note that deliverytime can take 1-3 weeks, but normally it is about one week to Europe and 2-4 weeks to other locations.

Veiðikortið 2021 – "The Fishing card 2021" – is a very economic choice for fishermen and travellers.  With Veiðikortið you can fish almost as much as you like in 36 lakes all around Iceland.
If you have never been fishing in Iceland before, you should read our short info page on Fishing in Iceland.
Only a few lakes are open all year, but most of the lakes stay open between May 1st and  September 30th.
The  Veiðikortið package includes a brochure in Icelandic, but with basic information in English and with all general information regarding the lakes, maps and travel.  Full English translation is available here on this webside, where you can print out the necessary information about each lake or the general use of the card. 

 

You can buy Veiðikortið here as well at all N1 and OLIS gasoline service stations around the country, tackle stores and some chosen websites.  When you buy the card here online, we will send it by standard air-mail.
 
Veiðikortið 2021 is valid for one person and only for the year 2020. Kids under the age of 14 fish free with a cardholder.
 
Please note that the Fishing Card only gives you access to those 36 lakes.

Veiðikortið 2018 – "The Fishing card 2018" – is a very economic choice for fishermen and travellers.  With Veiðikortið you can fish almost as much as you like in 34 lakes all around Iceland withou any additional charge after buying the card.
